« on: September 13, 2009, 07:37:45 PM »

The music sounds good, but when the crowd comes on inbetween it clips(they were kinda loud for carnagie hall..lol)  anyway, i tried to make it sound good, but its beyond my expertise. would any one be interested in attempting at remastering it?? ill get a dvd of the 48 raw wav file out to you...

Recorded at 48.0khz 24 bit wav

SP cmc 2a(mounted in tie)->Church audio CA-UBB battery box->edirol R09HR (mic line in@ 48.0/24)->wav

Thanks...the show was freaking awesome

Is the audience consistently louder then the music? Shouting or clapping? You could use a hard limiter with a high residual level pre/post songs to knock it down. I've done that on some things with nice results.

The audience makes the recording clip BETWEEN songs. I was really close on the floor, and It was the craziest taping situation I've been in(and it was obviously low profile) The music sounds clear, its just the crowd clips badley when they cheer after the tune's over. Everytime I try to fix it myself, I seem to make it worse. What settings and features for audcity would you reccomend??

Volume envelope down to an appropriate level between songs, maybe clip restoration on those segments as well if available.
