Topic: Sony D50...internals recording a speaker cab

Hi, newbie/muso...I really like my sound from my speaker cab instead of soundboard, and need decent recordings of tunes. (amplified acoustic guitar, vocal, harmonica, genre is Young, Dylan, etc.)
Where to place my D50, using it's internal mics? I can get as close or far away from my 15" full range cab as necessary, but would like to get at least an educated guess as to where to start.

Is it just the 15" and no horn? If so, I'd start experimenting with getting right up on it and then backing off a bit. If it's got a horn or a tweeter also, I'd try to avoid getting tight up on it.

Yes, it has a horn.
The speaker cab config is a trap icluding a 15" LF speaker and a HF Horn, of course with MF taking place in both.

If an old rule of thumb works here, if it sounds good to me, I'll place my recorder as close to my head 'earshot' as possible!
