CA-14 mic clips?
« on: November 26, 2009, 03:28:44 PM »
Hi everyone!

I'm looking for a little advice.  I just replaced my beloved CA-11s with a new set of CA-14s, and though I'm very excited about using the new microphones, I'm facing a bit of a problem.  The CA-11s came with a nice set of attached clips that were very easy to attach to my clothes for stealth taping.  The CA-14s, however, have nothing I can use to mount them.  Any advice on what I might use?  I hate to risk damaging the wires with the wrong set of clips, but I also like the convenience of being able to clip mics on inconspicuously inside a venue.  I would really appreciate any suggestions you experts can offer!  Thanks so much!

Several members have posted that 2 of these work perfectly with the CA-14's.

word of advice - I have that exact setup, and the clips clip VERY loose.  I almost lost one once.  Clip the clips to your shirt and leave them there, then clip in the mics later when you're ready.  That way you don't lose the clips in your pocket or on the floor.  They're just good enough to keep the mics stable, but they come out really easy.

They come out easy only on the rotating clips. They fit extremely snug on the non-rotating clips.

Those are what I have and fit my CA-14's snug.  I want to emphasize that is not the case with the rotating clips.
