First off Happy Holidays Everyone.
OK some of you here know me, but I haven't Posted a lot for about 6 months.
I have a large selection of Mics an MT2 and a MIX PRE.
I just got an opportunity to shoot some Video Depositions and I'm building a Video Rig with a Clean Audio Side.
For Some Reason The Shure Brothers decided to Discontinue the M367 Mixer, which is my all time favorite for this situation. Nothing they sell even comes close, nor does anyone else's. So my thoughts are leaning to purchasing a multi track recorder like the R44 or a mixer with a built in recorder like the SD 302.
I like the SD 302 but it has no LCD Display to say exactly what is going on with the recording. I'm guessing you could run out of media and not know it, until it was too late. It looks absolutely amazing and because it's made by SD, i'm sure it sounds just at transparent as all the the rest of the SD Products.
As for the Edirol R44 i can't seem to figure out how i would use it as a mixer even though it says you can. How would you pan the channels for a stereo mix. Also I would prefer the outputs to be Balanced.
If anyone has any other suggestions i would be glad to listen.
Thanks Again,
Michael Foy
