Any 7.2V RC battery with a Tamiya-style connector will do.  The more mah, the longer it will run, but it's not critical - pretty much any RC battery in decent shape will easily power the FR2LE for the full duration of a typical show, and then some.

my 3600mah will power it for about 6hrs - fwiw

also, i learned the hard way, don't leave the bagttery plugged in if its anywhere close to dead
if it dies it will not charge again and you need to get a new one
Mics - AKG ck61/ck63 (c480b & Naiant actives), SP-BMC-2
XLR Cables - Silver Path w/Darktrain stubbies
Interconnect Cables - Dogstar (XLR), Darktrain (RCA > 1/8) (1/8 > 1/8), and Kind Kables (1/8f > 1/4)
Preamps - Naiant Littlebox & Tinybox
Recorders - PCM-M10 & DR-60D

Batteries can sometimes be brought back to life if you can force some charge into them.  I use a cheap car battery charger to initially give a little bit of charge to the NiMH battery I use in my FR2LE.  I only need to do this if I haven't used the battery in a long time.

With my charger, this takes care of the problem of the initial low voltage.  If the initial voltage is close to zero, my "smart" charger will refuse to start the charge.

Hope you can save your battery.

I bought giant batteries so I'd only use 65% of the charge and have it at "storage" capacity when I finished the average show. That way I didn't run it too far and kill the battery.
"This is a common practice we have on the bus; debating facts that we could easily find through printed material. It's like, how far is it today? I think it's four hours, and someone else comes in at 11 hours, and well, then we'll... just... talk about it..." - Jeb Puryear

I hate dealing with those batteries and the fact that the run down to nothing if you leave them in the FR2-LE for around 2 weeks. One of several reasons I'm in the minority and never liked my FR2-LE at all.
AT853's (all caps)/CM-300 Franken Naks (CP-1,2,3)/JBMod Nak 700's (CP-701,702) > Tascam DR-680
Or Sonic Studios DSM-6 > M10

Not exactly the type that goes in the 2LE but it gives you an idea that they can be zapped and be brought back.

search youtube for reviving batteries or zapping batteries.
