How do I link pictures to my posts?
« on: February 28, 2010, 03:56:16 PM »
I searched and found this post by Brian which seems to explain it all:
http://taperssection.com/index.php?topic=118910.0

I joined photobucket, uploaded a pic, and tried to add it to a post by doing his steps:
3]  Press the Insert Image button  to add the image tags to your post.
4]  Type or paste the URL to your off-site photos between the image tags.

Just can't seem to get the image to appear in my post.

Can anyone think of a step I may be omitting, either in my post or in photobucket? I think I'm using the right URL. When I copy it and click on it, it does lead me to my pic.

in the left column of your photo page, you'll find a box that contains links to share the photo.
If you grab the link that contains a bracketed code that designates a photo, it will link here.
That bracketed code might look like this, with an exception explained below:
{IMG}http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v729/MokePics2/emoticons%20and%20misc%20stuff/cowabunga.jpg{/IMG}

The {img}{/img} codes should be bracketed within this type of bracket sets: [][]

At any rate,... find that coded bracket set, and copy the url, complete with the brackets, and paste it here. You should be good to go.

with the correct brackets, it should look like this:
