Busman Audio
« on: March 30, 2010, 04:51:31 PM »
Hi:  I have been trying to email and call Chris at Busman Audio for a month now with no luck.  Is he still in business?  What is the best way to contact him?  FYI, I am trying to mod my Edirol R-4 Pro.  Thanks

Chris is sometimes slow responding.  I have never known him to be this slow.  That is his only downside.  He has many fans on TS.

Is there a feature set on the R4 that you really need? Just wondering if there isnt a better device for your needs? (Saw some of your other posts...SSD + Mod=$$$)

Runonce:  not feature set in particular (other than 4 channel + timecode).  The main thing is that I own the R-4 Pro vs selling it and buying a different recorder.  Right now, I believe that only the 788T has SSDs.  That may change after NAB.  I'd go for an Oade-mod, but that puts me back to square one with buying a new unit from Oade.  BTW, I spoke with the techs at Roland about the SSD conversion.  They basically said that they would be very interested to know if it worked.  <sigh>

I sent some basic questions about the R-44 mods several weeks ago and never heard back either... [Shrugs]
