once there are other's seeding you know at least they have the whole thing.

so when it says seeds 0( that means there are 8 people capable of seeding it but 0 are actually doing it now?

The more I thought about it the more I realized that what I was asking didn't make any sense.

lol, look at it this way. until someone has 100% they are listed as a leacher. i haven't initiated a torrent in a while so i'm not sure if it lists you at all. 

the first # is how many are connected to you, the one in "()" is the total on the torrent. so you're 1/2 right. those 8 aren't and can't seed to you. they are seeding to others tho.
