I don't believe discussion about these electret condenser mics has come up here before. However, I've heard a few recordings with them and they sound quite nice. Perhaps an upgrade to the old MKE40? The switchable caps are available in omni (ME 102), cardioid (ME 104), and super-cardioid (ME 105). Does anyone have any positive/negative experiences to share about these mics?

Wow, those are tiny - 6mm diameter. That is really small for a cardioid mic. Also, the noise level is really low, 21dBA, for the omni version.
