If you are now using old firmware, try to update Latest versions..
card problems might be solved

+1.

24/48 should be doable (based on spec) on a Class 2 card so the firmware is a good place to start.  I'm sure I'll find out soon enough as I ordered a 32GB card off eBay (class 2) for my R09.

let me know how that works out, it says in the manual it works with up to 8gb cards....

You can't always rely on the printed manual after updating your firmware. Firmware version 1.31 allows the R-09 to use 16/32 GB cards.

As mentioned by fmadejr - Firmware 1.31 allows 32GB cards without issue.  ;)

I'm just curious to the speed of the card I bought. I'll likely place it in my PC and copy an 8-10GB file back and forth to get an idea of what it's like.
