i have used an 8 gb pro duo.  i recall people using a 16gb, but might want to double check that.

Yes, i've been using a 16gb memory stick pro duo
for more than one year with a D50 (reference on the
back of the card is MS-MT16G).  I think at the time
I decided against the Pro HG stuff, which were faster,
but more expensive (and the additional speed did not
matter with an audio recorder, unless maybe when
transferring files to the computer).
