I have to reset mine after long periods of inactivity, more than 24 hours. If I power it up a few times a day it's OK. ???

Odd. I've just charged my batteries- they were out of the recorder for 15+ hours and the clock/date is correct.

not that long for me, but usually 20-30 mins as they recharge and I eventually get them back in the recorder

I'm pretty sure I had the recorder sitting with no batteries for 2 weeks and the date/time was ok when I put fresh batteries in. Will try that again as it'll be at least 10 days before I use it again.

For me though the bigger issue rather than running late is the fact that the time stamp will be incorrect.  Can't tell you how many shows I have taped that i'd revisit to track weeks, months and years later and needed to identify the show by the date/timestamp.

Man, when are you gonna get those Sinatra tapes out?   ;D

I am not sure if this has been mentioned before but on page 14 of the manual, under the "Tips" section, there is a sentence stating:

Quote
"When replacing batteries, the clock continues moving for about 3 minutes after you remove the batteries"

So I guess if you wait longer than that you will have to readjust time and date.
