Audition 3.0.1 + Windows 7 64bit...Memory issue?
« on: November 24, 2010, 06:27:21 PM »
Does anyone use Adobe Audition 3.0.1 on Windows 7 64bit to edit 24bit files? I have a strange issue...every time I make an edit to a 24 bit file, more memory gets used up. But the odd thing is, the used memory isn't reflected in the Task Manager. Eventually, after making enough edits (3-4?), all 8GB of memory is used, and the PC gets unstable. When I close Audition, all the memory is freed up.

This only seems to happen with 24 bit files in Audition. When editing 16bit files, it barely uses any memory at all. It almost seems like a bug with 24bit, but I'm not sure.
