Insight into correcting incorrect bit fequency in post sought.
« on: January 13, 2011, 12:43:02 AM »
I made recording last summer and it sounds like Alivin and the chipmunks or in other words  when I played it back the track is playing faster then it should be. I recorded it with  UA-5 > h120. I was certain I had both the iriver and UA-5 set to 16/44.1 but since this is the end result I'm guessing human error came into play. My question now is: Are there any way to correct this problem in post? Time stretch? I could clip up a sample and post it if necessary. I know that I never adjusted the setting on the UA-5 and this is the only band form the festival that turned out this way. So that leads me to believe I fudged up the settings on the iriver during this set.

Probably just a mis-match between the WAV header and data.  Fixing the header should do the trick.  Check the sticky at the top of the forum for a thread about recordings that sound too fast / too slow.
