I've never tried it, but from what I've read it here it's rarely worth it to record the IEM feed.

I understand the mix is pretty bad at best most of the time. I guess some people have made some good recordings, but it sounds like the vast majority of the time you get garbage.

I'm assuming many shows in Brazil are not open taping. If that is the case I would get a nice small set of mics and a Sony M10 as a recorder. The mics would depend on your budget.

The R-09 is a fine recorder.

Do you have a budget?

You will record rubbish.

The Sennheiser IEMs will have HDX noise reduction and the scanner will not have any noise reduction at all - the sound will be very nasty.

If you want to do this you will need a Sennheiser G3 IEM receiver set to the same frequency - and if they are using lots fof frequencies for the IEM you will only get one of them.

Not worth doing IHMO.

Advice is a form of nostalgia, dispensing it is a way of fishing the past from the disposal, wiping it off, painting over the ugly parts and recycling it for more than it’s worth.

Thanks very much.

But it would have helped if the OP had said the title of the topic and linked to it himself.  ::)
