External battery setup for PMD 660?

Searched threads and have seen a couple of old discussions but was wanting to see if anyone has a reliable setup they could reccomend.
I saw one old thread discussing use of 9v 5400ma dvd battery w/ ratshack "B"tip cable. Will this work?

The 660 is a 5v machine so a DVD batt will not work.  I have a 661 and power it with 5v USB power.  I use my tekkeon or external iPod type batteries.  Find a USB battery pack and I can hook you up with a cable.

thanks for the feedback and suggestions....i assume a 5v lion with higher mAh will run deck 5-6 hrs maybe?
Trying to get my buddy set up.
