Taping result similar to the SONY PCM-M1?
« on: May 19, 2011, 02:56:38 PM »
So, I made a taping with 2 rigs

SP-CMC-8>ST-9100>M1
OKMIIR>A3>R09-HR

As I said before here, the tapings with the R09-HR sound different, they sound "flat" compared to the venerable SONY DAT PCM-M1

Also I have used:
SP-CMC-8>ST-9100>R09-HR
Yep they still not sound the same, compared to the M1

Is there a SD recorder that sounds similar or same like the M1?

I am going to have say the recorder has the least to do with " how a recordings sounds" its only capturing what you put into it the way you are using it. You have two setups with completely different "flavors". If you compared the edirol and the sony using mic in then yes there would be differences but line in.... Not really if you had the exact same setup going into both recorders.
