I am wondering if I can host a torrent site using my website, or do I need to purchase a dedicated server?

The specs for my website are: Unlimited diskspace, Unlimited bandwidth, Unlimited subdomains and all the features like mysql, php etc...

Is that good enough to host a torrent site dedicated to just one band? Will the speed for torrent be fast or does that depend on how fast your internet(isp) is?

Also how can I setup a private tracker?

Legal torrents are often allowed on webservers but you should read the terms of service for the web hosting company.
