Rode Microphones
« on: September 01, 2011, 12:34:59 PM »
My Rode NT2's were starting to fall apart due to too much traveling and use for the last 10 years. I sent them to Rode for repair, and they rebuilt parts of the capsule and didn't even charge me. It was all free. I've had them for over 10 years and they didn't even charge me for the return shipping.

That's kind of customer service is hard to find these days,

wow, that's real nice to hear!

BTW everyone, Rode's site has been re-created:  http://www.rodemic.com/
Advice is a form of nostalgia, dispensing it is a way of fishing the past from the disposal, wiping it off, painting over the ugly parts and recycling it for more than it’s worth.

And the day got better. My BeyerDynamic DT770 (250ohm) headphones broke last month. I bought them new for $225 5 years ago. So I sent them in to get fixed, was charged $80 for shipping and repairs. They didn't repair it, they gave me a bran new pair. Glad I didn't buy a new pair like I was going to.

Once again, another company with great customer service.

My BeyerDynamic DT770 (250ohm) headphones...

Great sounding cans!  Very comfortable, too.  Nice to hear that Beyer customer service did you a solid.

Great stories here!

I just wanted to add that I recently sent Audix an email regarding one of my mic mounts.  A small, but imperative, plastic piece of the mount snapped off so I asked them if it were possible to reorder just that specific part as the rest of the mount was still solid as a rock.

I was told that they reviewed the specific part's defective rate over the last three years and there were less than 10 reports of failure for that part.

A few days later, two brand new *complete* mounts arrived at my door.

Go Audix!  Go Rode!  Go Beyer!
