Topic: Sony TCD D10proII DAT Recorder Error Code 51

Hi there!

I'm in the process of servicing a TCD D10proII DAT recorder, but I've hit a brick wall! Does anyone else have any experience repairing these machines? If so, could you help me pin-point a fault please? I'm getting Error Code 51 which, according to the service manual, suggests the Capstan Ramp speed is too slow. If you have experienced this fault, where would you suggest the fault is likely to be?
