I really got into taping in 2009. Prior to that I saw maybe 10 shows a year.

Since then:

2009: 55 shows
2010: 82 shows
2011: 104 shows

I keep up with shows, dates, bands, venues, mileage driven, ticket price, taped y/n.

with a database. I use Filemaker but anything would work.

I keep a list of Shows Attended as well as a list of shows recorded. If I was half-a computer scientist, I'd merge my databases into "third normal form" but I keep 'em separate, and export blocks of data from one to the other when I type in a festival.

I use this thing that I keep on my desktop.
Called Notepad and stuff. I can update it and close it. It's pretty neat.
It's also labeled shows2011 for this year. Pretty slick.
