If you need a longer tie it's easy to hook two or more together.These are probably the same or similar to the ones available from Home Depot linked to in the above post.

I prefer either tie line or bongo ties to velcro. Velcro get's dirty, grabs onto stuff I don't want, etc.Check out http://www.bongoties.com/
