i just received a pair of these at work. i used/plan to use them as overheads for the most part, and maybe close up on acoustic instruments (have not yet).  my review: they sound really good. i have not tried them as a coincident pair for audience recording, but i'd suggest that someone interested in a very inexpensive/small condenser should check these out. rated at 1%thd @ 126db; they can take a lot of oomph.

when the opportunity arises i'll try them out, probably ortf as they tend on the bright side. nice highs though.

edit: you're right about the size; they're small. 3.1" to be precise.
