« on: August 09, 2012, 05:02:19 PM »
reloaded my vista OS on VAIO laptop and reinstalled all my programs.  it's only cosmetic i guess but my flac and ffp icons didnt come back so they appear as windows blank documents.  also, the file names also still display ".flac" and ".ffp"  its something obvious, but i dont know what.  what didnt i do?

Right-click each type of file that isn't showing its icon, select "Open With", choose the program that you use to open them, check the box that says "always use this program to open this file type", and click OK.  That should get the icons back.

Your operating system does not originally accept flac files as being useful audio codec.  You need to download the flac driver for your media player.  That's my guess.
The side stage is my rigs main stage.

yeah-download the flac installer from the flac homepage and install it. and then the right-click, open with... step will work (assuming you reinstalled a program such as fb2k)...
