i had the chance to go to a 664 demo today. i wrote up a quick dirty post about it on my site. I dont think a lot of tapers will be interested because of the limitation of 48k.

It worked for me, in the US.  Didn't know the 664 took pictures    Thanks for posting, the 48 KHz sampling rate limitation could be a deal breaker for many but nice unit.

Sometime my blog just has issues loading. Godaddy shared hosting sucks! I would try again later to see if it works.


Maybe we will see a 666 pix recorder from SD next year! SD still claims to be a audio company. we will see if they release more audio centric products in the next year. In the mean time Zaxcom has released the Maxx and Nomad Lite recorders. I am not sure about SR limits with those decks because i honestly haven't looked yet. but it seems Zaxcom is turning up the heat.
