The 1/8th inch line input jack is becoming intermittent on my recorder. Its the jack I use the most and is obviously wearing out. Any recommendations for where to get it repaired? Its out of warranty.
Thanks,
Bernie

Roland will do out of warranty repairs for $80 an hour, billed in 15 minute increments. This is comparable to most electronics repair shops. Their having parts in house will help too. There is a service center locator or you can ship to their LA shop.

With what new recorders are going for, it seems unlikely to be economical to fix the thing unless it's a VERY quick fix. I broke the front panel on mine (not the actual screen, but the plastic in front of it). They pretty much told me to just dump it and buy a new one...

I was having similar issue with 1/8" in on my DENON mini-DAT. It's 20 years old, and I was going to junk it, but instead grabbed a Q-tip, sprayed on some fader cleaner, and swabbed out the jack. PRESTO! All is good now.
