I didn't see a "general samplitude tips" thread, perhaps I missed it?

Regardless It dawned on me yesterday that I should be able to elimnate
sector boundary errors when tracking in Samplitude (I'm using version 12).
Up until now, I've just pretty much let TLH take care of that issue which
doesn't present any problems for the most part, depending on the show.

Searching the samplitude help files or google returned nothing useful and
the markers themselves seem to have no properties/settings for forcing
alignment on a sector.

Well, perhaps this is common knowledge for some of you but thought I'd
share what I discovered yesterday.

Two settings are required to make this happen (see attached image)
1. Set the "grid and marker" bar to display CD-MSF
2. Set the "snap to" to Grid / Frames

This restricts the cursor movement to sectors only, so that when you insert
a track marker it will be forced to align with a sector.  If you have existing
markers simply drag them over to the nearest sector.

Hope this helps.
