    Are many folks on the page running this deck?   Interested in an experiences with this deck....I like the feature of mixing down on the fly....Does it compare at all top the 744T?  788T in quality/ value?

I have one and love it!

It is large and heavy though but the preamps/AD are great - much better than the 744t IMO - can't rate it against the 788 as I have never run a 788

To power it you do need a pretty hefty external battery as well

Yes the new pricing gets you 8 track recording W/o time code for $5k - they lowered it by about $1500-2000

I love mine. Makes it easy to dial in a mix of all your channels on the fly and get the separate mono files if you want to go back and remix.
