I've been doing a lot of looking around the last few days ... trying to decide on which 4K cam I'll be buying.  It's pretty much down to this AX33 or the AX100.  I like the price on the AX33 and the Balanced Optical SteadyShot image stabilization, and also the fact that it has less buttons and knobs.  I say that about the buttons and knobs because my personal experience has been that while all the fancy options (and extra buttons and knobs) look really great when they are demonstrated by an experienced videographer in a Youtube review, I tend not to use them once I get a videocam that has them.

Has anyone here used an AX33?  If so, what do you think?  How about the AX100?

User reviews state poor in low light and image quality though......

While the AX100 has a 1 inch sensor and good reviews in low light and image quality.....

I would go with the AX100. I own a CX900, the sister of the AX100, and the one inch detector is incredible. There is no such thing as a dark nightclub for me anymore. When i move up to 4k i will maintain the larger detector, highly recommended.

I said the heck with it and went for the AX100.  Filming shows is actually secondary to a lot of other things I'll be doing with this cam.  So while I think the AX33 is probably a better fit for >:D filming - I'll do just fine with the AX100.  I'll report back again after I use it the first time to >:D a show.

Now that you have had This killer 4K camcorder for a while what are your thoughts on it?
