Is the giant squid an upgrade to my ecm 719 sony?
« on: April 18, 2004, 08:43:10 AM »
Hi
I have taped a few show with my sony ecm 719 (+ sharp md)
I bought a Giant squid Cardioid Powered Stereo Microphone recently

Is it an upgrade to my ("old") ecm719?

The cost is nearly the same but the giant squid have a battery with bass roll off in.
I know its still cheap mic but i am pretty new

the easiest way to answer your question is to try them both out in front of your home stereo system and compare. whichever one you prefer is obviously the better mic for you.

+t good luck, happy taping, and if you ever have any more questions, don't hesitate to come here and ask!

When you start a cover band who says Styx?

They say ostrich has less fat, but you eat more of it
