Storage for BAS?
« on: August 18, 2015, 10:59:54 AM »
What do people use to store their BAS's?
Either in or out of gear bag?

I don't think I want to use the boxes they came in to carry them around.

Portabrace CP Pouch is perfect for storing them, when you need them clip it to your gear bag before heading out the door. I posted a photo in another thread about this if you search.

They fit well (1 per) small coffee container - think the little sized Folger's plastic cans. Also the pair fits nicely in a PortaBrace CP-pouch. One of the topics here has a pic Digigal posted with I think some Rycote softies in the CP; the BAS are roughly the same size.

Bumping thread for picture of the big Shure's in the Portabrace CP Pouch.

I think I paid $15.00 for mine a couple of years ago so deals are out there if you are patient.

Here is a photo of my Big Shure Windscreens with the tbrown dead muppets on them as in the CP Clip On Divider Pouch to demonstrate the fit.

I always used the $5 Outdoor fanny packs from Wal-Mart, because they can be easily attached to any bag setup. Each fanny pack held [2] BAS comfortably!
Schoeps MK 4V's & 41V's & KCY's ->
Naiant +60v & +48v Low Noise PFA's ->
DarkTrain Right Angle Stubby XLR's ->
Sound Devices MixPre-6 & MixPre-3

Cancelling order w/ B&H on those Portabrace bags x2... Thanks, Bean! You saved me $50. Not sure why I never thought of that...
