So being borderline retarded as many of you know, I have no clue. How does the computer read the dat? What cable? I definitely don't expect a tutorial, just hoping someone can point me to a good one. I have a Fostex d5. Thanks!
Marc, you could record digi to your 661 and pull the files off the SD card and go from there.
Thanks Terry, that's the easiest, just need to grab a coax out dat deck. Gonna concentrate on my masters, at least the non sketchy stuff ( not sure anyone needs Mickey Harts Mystery Box

That D5 has an AES output. I use an xlr to rca digi cable to go from D5 to pmd661 and it works great.
