A iPod Question
« on: April 26, 2004, 09:47:52 PM »
For thos eof you with an iPod. How can I delete playlists from the iPod? When I plug it in it shows up and launches iTunes. But it shows the iPod as locked. I'm in the process of putting all of last years Phish sbds to the iPod. And the first time I synched it pulled all the playlists I had. I've figured out how to synch. But I'd like to delete the other stuff from the iPod that got put there as well.

I've only had it for a few hours but this thing kicks ass!

Thanks jonny. I figured it out. I needed to set the option to manually maintain and change playlists. It unlocked it. Good to go now.
Did I mention how cool this thing is?

I have a feeling mine will now as well. I need to get a iTrip to play it in the car. As well as some noise canceling headphones for when I mow the lawn and stuff like that.

skip the itrip, if your car has a cd changer input on the back, get an adapter from here

www.pie.net

and that will give you rcas that you can feed into your stereo from the IPOD..much better sound.  I use my IPOD primarily as a car playback thing....

so your using some sort of rca ins on your stereo as well then....I had the itrip for about a week and got rid of it...the rca ins were a much better solution.,..

I would but my Aztek has a 6 disc in dash cd player. No way to get to any rca inputs. I'll probably be getting a new (used) car soon and I'll look into that option. Jonny has kindly sold me his FM transmitter and power set up. So that will work for now. I'll probably be putting in a new stereo into any car I get so I'll at least keep an 1/8 stereo in in mind.
