Topic: Zoom F1 recorder

Just had the battery door issue mentioned above happening to me this week. Not even from usage, I stored it for a couple months with batteries inside and the pressure seems to have been enough to break it over Time. I contacted Zoom France support, we'll see. I have seen 3D printed doors being sold online, does this even work? The deck is pristine apart from that.

I just received a message telling me that Zoom is now equipping F1s in production with an aluminium pin that wouldn't break as easily 
My maintenance center in France was sent a few spare pins for servicing but he is unfortunately out of stock. If you have this issue or find a broken deck somewhere you could potentially solve one of the flaws of this recorder easily.

This is getting stupid now. My Zoom F1 is in pristine condition and taking dust on the counter. The plastic pin is broken and I cannot order an aluminium one. It has been six month since I contacted Zoom and they told me to reach out to the local french dealer to get it, it's only a couple bucks and he had received a bunch. Except he is sold out and he cannot get Zoom to send a new batch (Or didn't even try, I just blindly trust what he says). Could anyone who has an affiliate Zoom maintenance store nearby order one for me and send it oversea? Willing to pay for the pin and shipping no problem, I would be saving a 70€ deck from the trash really...
