Lost thread re: replacing the cells in a "DVD battery"
« on: August 23, 2020, 08:21:09 PM »
OK, I give up: Someone in the past few months posted a message offering to replace the cells in old, tired DVD batteries with new cells of somewhat higher capacity for a fee. But I can't find the thread anywhere.

I remember that there was also a very admirable exchange in that thread between the OP and someone whose work he had criticized due to a misunderstanding, where the person referred to came back with a very mature response, and the misunderstanding was instantly cleared up. I thought it was a pretty great moment.

Does anyone else here recall the thread, and could you point me to it if so? Many thanks. I've looked, like, three separate times now.
