Using multiple outs on OPPO blu ray player - solved!
« on: March 15, 2021, 02:18:12 PM »
So my family is getting tired of dealing with the home theater setup every time they want to watch a DVD/Blu-ray. Looking for the best solution so they can watch direct to TV, bypassing the HTR. Only coming up with two solutions:

- use a HDMI one in two out splitter. Not sure of the quality of these and if they send exact audio and video signal to both devices. One being the TV and the other the HTR.

- connect a second player using the component and audio outputs to the TV. HDMI inputs on TV are all used. (actually think this would be the easiest solution for them)

Maybe there’s more solutions? Thanks.

Solved: upgraded from a OPPO Bdp-80 to a Bdp-93. The 93 has dual HDMI outs.

We use a splitter that separates the audio. HDMI In > HDMI Out, RCA L&R (Audio)

Works like a charm and pretty cheap for a box on Amazon
Mics: mk4v/mk41v/mk22 > CMC1L/Nbobs, MKE2
Preamps: Nbox Platinum ABS, Baby Nbox
Recorders: Mixpre-6 ii, PCM-A10
