iZotope / Native Instruments is offering Ozone 11 EQ for free. All you need is to make an account. I've only been playing with it for a little while but it is very full-featured, especially for a free plugin.

Here is a video focusing on the Transient / Sustain mode. One example of something you wouldn't expect in free software: In Digital mode you can adjust the amount of phase shift per-node.
