Topic: Shapeways bankrupt?

I saw on the web that 3-D printer Shapeways has closed:

Microphone clip vendor SRS Recording used to have a store on Shapeways' site. I do see SRS still has an eBay store. Does anyone know if SRS product is affected, or have they simply gone to another printer?

I don't see an SRS Recording website for contact info, and I'm not on eBay.

According to a pair of email messages I received last month, "Shapeways" (or someone with title to that name) exists, has acquired an entity called "Thangs", and would like to do business with you!.

Emailed him and it bounced. Went to ebay and filled out the form and have not heard back that was about a week ago.

Emailed "Thangs" to see if they still make the Mic mounts. Will come back to this thread with info if I hear anything back.

Asked "Thangs" if they could build me a Mic Mount and I referred that scott from shapeways had made them in the past.

I think you are reffering to Scott from SRS Recording Services. He used to sell his designs through the Shapeways marketplace. Shapeways did not design any models themselves, but only offered a platform for other designers to sell their designs through (and Shapeways would handle the actual printing and distribution).
 
At this moment I'm afraid his products are not yet for sale on Thangs, however we did reach out to him to see if this is something we can make happen in the future.
