Topic: Need modern Talentcell to power Mini-me

Finally going to give up powering my Apogee Mini-Me with old 9V DVD batteries

I'll keep them around to power my r-44 though..

Many of you kind tapers gifted me your spares when you were done with them, thanks


Mini-Me draws 5.5W of power from any 6-14V DC supply


Is there a better model than this one for my needs?  Should I run the 9V output to get the longest run time from it?

I am using that same talentcell with my mini me at 9 volts… works great.

Also using them with V3 and Ad2k.

No issues at all.

Also I just remembered that the talentcell comes with a cable that works between the mini me and 9 volt port of the talentcell.

I can report a first-time run of 15 straight hours with the minime AES out into a r-44, 48V phantom powering our Busman mic


Went down to a single LED, and I stayed there for the last hour, then ended the test.




If it charges in 9 hours, that's a full day's work......PASSED




2 DVD batteries to power the r-44 were enough for the 15 hour test

This battery is great - I've used it to power my Mixpre 6-ii at all day festivals and the most it has dropped is one bar. Highly recommended!

0This IS a great battery solution. I use one for a Grace V2 and another for a Tascam DR-680. Last weekend, for a 10 hour festival they ran down to 2 bars and I was surprised at that, that it didn't stay at three bars, as I know we've done 14-15 hour days with these things.
