They work. Nothing fancy, just small omnis installed in silicone in-ear mounting pieces for wearing binaurally. Sill have a pair from 20 years back in the bin of recording stuff - doesn't appear they've changed since. As I recall they were not as well shielded and didn't have performance specs or sound quality which matched the significantly more costly DPA 4060s I replaced them with, but they sound natural and clear. You don't have to wear them in ear, you can pretty much use them like any other omn. I used them as intended in-ear a few times just to play around with the binaural recording, which worked well enough for soundscape stuff, but prefer other mic techniques for music taping. I don't recall any more breathing/swallowing noises than wearing similar mics on glasses, which tends to be more suitable for music recording IMO. I primarily used them to test out various multichannel mic array arrangements before committing to the purchase of more costly mics able to achieve the level of quality I was happy with. Great tool for that.
For recording anything amplified you'll want the lower sensitivity version, and they should be properly powered with 9 or 12V from a battery box. If not using them specifically for binaural recording, Sound Pros' probably offers the same mics without the in-ear mounts, which will be more universal in regard to mounting.
