My understanding is that Sound Devices has a policy of not releasing schematics/service info to the public. Even for older gear. I can imagine this is to protect their intellectual property and maintain control over official servicers.  That being said, they are willing to sell parts for their machines to the end user, so if you are brave and feeling confident, you can service your own gear.

Yup, I found this exact response from them yesterday, but can't accomplish the work without the schematic. The ridiculous part is that they want $945 to replace an emergency voltage regulating diode on a unit that's half that price new.
