Extract DVD-audio files
« on: Today at 02:41:12 PM »
Back around 2011, when I started recording at 24/96 and had a universal disk player, I created DVD-Audios of some of my shows. I am currently engaged in two massive projects, one a DAT import to external hard drive and one a rip of all my audio disks at full resolution to an external drive. Some of the disks I have on DVD-A I don't seem to have the master files anymore; is there any program you can use to extra DVD-Audio, something like Exact Audio Copy that works on DVD-Audio?

If the DVD's are without copy protection, can you simply load them into a computer and copy the directory with the files?

If you have a mac, Handbrake might work to get the files into your format of choice. Or FFMPEG if you don't mind command line work.

VLC media player has worked for me to extract small DVD-A files for work.
