Buy NT5's now or waite for C4s
« on: July 12, 2004, 09:58:39 PM »
I placed a order w/ sweetwater today for some SP C4's and they did not have them in stock until aleast thur or more and Brian the sales kook offered me some rode NT5's for the same price. I was just wonderin' if this would be better or if I should take my business else where and score my C4's.
Thanks and PEace

Stick with the C4s.  I think you'll be happier with them.

I've just been looking around for the past few hours and there's a ton of vendors out there that have them for $319 in stock, free shipping and even one had 2day air for free...if you don't feel like waiting!!

Definitely wait for the C4s or buy them from another source.  My Rode NT-4 sounds ok, but I'm saving up for something better.

people seem to hate rode mics...  but I have a really nice Primus recording made with nt5's...  however it was at teh warfield...  so the room sounds nice to begin with...

But I'd love to try out some nt5's someday...  at the very least the are some of the coolest looking mics out there.

i hate the r0de mics.  there are a lot of c4s out there, you dont need to stick with sweetwater.  as a matter of fact, generally i never buy from them.  they are often overpriced

go find another retailer
