Broken D-8
« on: July 14, 2004, 10:29:05 AM »
:'(  This machine taped from Jan 1998>July 11, 2004.  FF gave out last year.  44.1 recordings started to get digi noise when played in a DAT other than this D-8 around last Aug.  On monday I played a tape with no problems.  I went to play another and it read no A-time....no playback, no recording.  FF works again.  Where is a good place to get it fixed and how much do you think this is going to cost me?  I sent a DA-20 to a place in NJ during the summer of 2001.  It took them almost a year to fix it.  They didn't charge me, but it seemed a bit shady.  I'm not going back to them...

Jason, I would go with Pro Digital Inc. It could get pricey (mine was 200) but they do really good work very fast. http://www.prodigitalinc.com
