Topic: audio recording files???

hey all~

i got some phine discs off of heath awile back and was wondering if theres any way to convert the audio recording file into a wav file

any help is appreciated and if someone can help me out, id be glad to spin them the discs that i recover (phish 11/2-3/90 )

i take it this is mac or protools files

Rip the audio CD to Wav with EAC.

bean--i can re-transfer and save as wav for you, you damn pc freak....  if i remember correctly they are aiff files, although they could be sdII files depending on how I had my settings at the time...  I'll see what I can do for you.  Worst case scenario, I give you the dats and you can do it yourself

if they are aiff files just open them up in your editing program and save it as a .wav .  should be fine.  i've done this when i got .aiff data discs.

just checked, theyre not AIFF files, because i allow those file types in wavelab, so it must be sdII files

heath~id love to retransfer for us/you, but the dap1 is in jason's hands right now

i will def retransfer after this summer, i ALMOST have 70 GB cleared from rushing w/ the dap1

so after thats done, anything goes

Wavelab should have no problems with SDII files.
WAV, AIFF and SDII are pretty much standard cross platform audio file formats

wont work, when i try to open it in wavelab, i put it to 'all file types' and it shows AIFF and SD2 or whatever, but it doesnt show the file when i go into the folder where it is

so heath, if you see this, are those the only 2 file types it could be

i could have sworn i set protools to output broadcast wav files for you.. but I could also have been stoned out of my gourd...     There is no way I would choose anything other than broadcast wav, aiff, or sdII...maybe the burn didn't go properly and the files are f'd up.  I'll redo...
