I believe they havs stopped making them a while back?
I guess you cannot buy new spare parts for most of it?
I like mine, want to use one for a long time, do you expect the second hand prices to come down, or go up as they get rarer and rarer?
I am sort of tempted to start stocking up on spare parts.
A good idea?

There's a pretty good number in circulation, I wouldn't expect the price on them to go up as I'm sure before long an alternative will be created by Creative or somebody else.

Look at the D8 for example, Sony no longer makes them yet their prices have actually gone way down as alternatives (like the JB3) have appeared on the market.

As far as spare parts go, I am not sure but I think your best bet would be to buy maybe a non-working JB3 off ebay for cheap and use the (working) parts from that if need be.  I don't think Creative will service them anymore.

i believe creative still says that they're not obsolete...but i doubt they're making more.
batteries and such are getting harder to find...but if i'm still using mine when the batteries finally die on it, i'm gonna use the external battery option.
second hand prices will probably come down, they usually do with this type of technology.
i wouldn't unless you're concerned for your own.  technology is always changing and advancing...next year something better could come out for $150...then you'd be stuck with all these extra parts.

Because nothing says "I have lots of money and am sort of confused as to how to spend it" like Bose.
