Qustion About the akg c1000s

if i have a mixpad can i run the c1000s with out batterys in the mic. i remeber reading somewhere that i can. ?

if the mixpad can provide phantom power, yes.  i believe the c1000s can take phantom.

right on i think it does. :P if so i dont need to worriy about the batterys in the mic.

the increase in sound quality will be worth it, if the mixpad can go a whole set. phantom makes c1k's sound a whole lot better.

I used to use rechargable NiMH 9v's with my mixpad. I bought a little battery tester and ran a bunch of tests to figure out my max run time.  All mics consume require different amounts of power so it would probably be best to run your own tests.
