NJB3 time
« on: November 19, 2004, 05:45:45 AM »
does anyone else have troubles with their time on the jb3?  no matter what, mine always runs fast.  I can set it before i go to a show, and by the time i start recording its like 15-20 minutes fast.  not a big deal at all, just annoying to keep resetting it.

Not really...thats what I have a wristwatch for!

Why would an accurate clock on the JB3 be that important? So long as it says the right date I'm happy.

Seriously though the only time I have a problem with the time or date is when the artist comes on after midnight and I have to rename the .wav file to the day before...

exactly that.  i tape a lot of local bands, the headliners don't start until midnight or after and the music usually starts for the night at 10:30.  however, when njb3 time is messed up it shows everyone playing on the next day...then when i finally get around to doing something to the file 2-3 months later, i have to figure out if the day is correct.  its not really that big of a deal, but its a function on the thing that'd be a lot cooler if it worked right...or at least allowed me the option to turn it off.

Weird...  I've noticed my time going slow, fast and just plain stop for a few seconds...  I don't really pay that much attention, as long as it keep ticking... The Nomad is great, but the firmware could use some improving...

Here's a quick solution for you, dl the show to your computer that night or the next morning and rename it to a more widely used naming scheme (bandyyyy-mm-dd). Or just connect the unit to the computer and rename it on the JB3 using whatever program you are using. Only thing I use the time for is so I know which pull is the first, second, third band on that night.
