to make it easier you might be able to take your ua-5, run a coax in from your dat, and an optical out to your jb3. i've never done this, but i have used the ua-5 as a D/A before, so i would imaging you could do the same with that. good luck.,att

I'm not sure what I'll try but how would I hook an optical to the D8?

Not a huge deal for some, while others have a problem with resampled transfers.
If only for experimental purposes, I'm trying the coax > UA5 > optical method. It's all hooked up but I'm getting no levels on the JB3. I'm running 7 pin out of dat and coax IN then optical out to the JB3. Any idea what I'm doing wrong?
