iRiver and mic?
« on: January 02, 2005, 08:04:55 AM »
Hello,

somebody told me i can connect a mic to my iriver (iFP 390t), and record shows.
I know this won't give me the best recordings, but it will be cheaper than buying
a whole new recording equipement.

Now i tried to connect a simple mic (from a microsoft headseat) to the line in and
record .. just to test ..  when i replayed the file i  don't hear anything [tried to
record 44kHz various bitrates and various sound levels.

So before i buy i want to know if it's really possible to record with external mic (the
internal sucks) on a iriver.

you need a battery box to give the mic plugin power. or a pre amp.

look at http://www.soundprofessionals.com for battery boxxes or make your own.
